Vancouver has become a vibrant international capital of World and Roots Music. It is home to many of the world's leading artists from a number of cultures.

These artists have come together to form the Vancouver World Music Collective (VWMC) a non-profit organization to promote their music and the city internationally. The Collective is comprised of the city's most exciting and innovative international musicians, all well-established in their professions and having an international following.

While the VWMC was initially established as a promotional vehicle, the resulting "collective" energy has fostered a much greater spirit of musical collaboration.
